Obamas and George Ws good friends.
I would caution against the use of the word “facts” in your title when you cite Glenn Beck. For example, the Fed is a government institution, though it has some private sections and a lot of independence (by design). To say, as Beck does, that it has “nothing to do with the federal government” is entirely false.
For example: “The entire system is controlled by the Board of Governors. The Board of Governors is a 100% government agency. Each member of the Board is appointed by the President and approved by the Senate. Board members are not allowed to be officers, directors, or employees of any bank, banking institution, or trust company. In fact, Board members are typically economics professors or at least hold doctorates in economics.”
There are lots of good reasons to question the Fed and the way it operates, but if we want to argue reasonably for change, we should start with facts, and not some false “truth” concocted by Beck.
